Hi All,

I thought I would like to share my story here. So  someone in future might go through the same thing and this would give some help and guidance I hope.

With the recent promotion with PRO-JECT essential, 3 months Tidal and 45 day trial offer. I've decided to pull the trigger on their on-line web store. However, before my order I wanted to make sure the final price of $6047 is inclusive of taxes and nothing more to pay. I've confirmed this with Devialet representative and she confirmed that is the landing price and no more to pay.

Knowing Australian customs and UPS. I was reluctantly placed an order hoping for the best. And order get shipped in timely manner.  I was expecting a smooth delivery well in time before my vacation.

Few days later packaged arrived Melbourne and I've received immediately a phone call from customs and they so eager to collect the money. I've kindly explained to them about the situation and informed them that the sender is the one to be charged for taxs and customs fees. However the UPS representative is not willing to listen and he is given me pretty standard answer says it's the receiver pays the taxs. So here goes the usual run around for me, called number of times UPS and spoke to many people before I finally managed to find a one helpful lady who is willing to send a request to UPS France for Tax to be charged back to sender.

In the mean time, I've been in touch with Devialet France and they are doing everything they can. However given the run around  from UPS and the timing before my holidays I was frustrated to a point where I wouldn't want to deal with this any more and cancel the order.

Devialet France send the paperwork to UPS France and finally UPS Australia received it. However the UPS team in France took their time before they actually send the paper work. At this point Devialet assured if I pay taxes and they will pay it back to me in no time. That was my last resort.

Finally UPS Australia release the package and charged back the taxs to the Sender (Devialet).

After reading all about customer support issues with Devialet I was very worried that I may end up paying taxs too.  And the reality is their customer service I received is 5 stars and nothing short of excellent. They kepy their word and followed up with me via phone calls.

The representatives I've dealt with are Sebastien Faure and Oceane Turpin. These guys are excellent and they will look after and follow up things for your behalf. So anyone in future come across the same delima I went through and you should be fine and nothing to worry.

Mate , hey you did ok , my 2 phantom silvers plus a dialog cost me $8k from the Audio Tailor in brisbane. but i was in a hurry to get em.
I am happy tho , they really are worth it.
i been around audio a long time too.
I wonder if they will do the same if I order them from China.
