The first intelligent review !
I agree with everything except that I personally like the look.
It is so different it takes time to appreciate.

I agree with everything he says, including his thoughts about design and marketing.

Yes, excellent review. It is nice to see someone who has listened to high-end gear compare a pair of Silver Phantoms to decent stereo systems not to lifestyle devices.

It is also nice to see both the praise and criticism match the reality what I heard, unlike some other reviews. In my audition of a pair of white Phantoms I agree that they had the best imaging I've heard (better even than KEF Blades or LS50 which were my previous reference point), but had lifestyle-quality bass (lots of it but lower quality) and lacked ultimate transparency/resolution.

Should this thread be duplicated or moved to the Reviews section of this forum?
Interesting review. It seems to be the most professional review thus far. He mentions using them with his TV. I'm surprised there was no mention of audio latency in this setup. I wonder if that was an oversight, or he simply didn't notice any.

There is not discernible latency here (I am watching TV right now), though it might be due to my TV being a bit slow at video processing.

Mine is a Samsung H8000, which is quite similar to yours but without 4K.
I see...I am assuming you guys are using optical from the TV to one of the phantoms? Good to know there is no noticeable lag via this connection.
