I might be wrong, but based on what I've read on this forum it occurs to me that the burning smell appears to strike D200's only. Maybe a coincidence or perhaps because there are more D200's / 400's around versus the other models?

Has anyone had the burning smell power filter problem on a D-premier, D250 or D120? (Confused posts, then wonders across the room to nervously sniff his Devialets)
I have had the smell with D 200 Companion one a day with SW 7.3.1 Beta. After installing another software the smell didn't come again.

You don't have to get near your system to smell it. You will smell it if it happens. Trust me. Big Grin
Hi Gary,

Sorry to hear, I changed the filter board last year, or is a ten minute job, so I don't think you will have to ship it France, I revived the new board from my dealer.

During the waiting time for the new broad I placed a glass with vinegar next to the amp, the amp itself smelled really bad after the board was removed, it helped.

Kind regards Morten
Thanks for the advice, Morten. I will have to do something what you have suggested as the room is filled with a horrible burned smell even after a few days now.
After two weeks of holidays, I was being told by the local distributor that they have an agreement with Devialet that they will not repair any units bought outside of China (my Le200 was bought in Munich). What a bummer? Anyway, Devialet will be sending me a UPS carton box for me to pack and ship it back to France. Estimated turnaround time is at least 22-day including shipping time. This is unexpected. I told Devialet that I'm willing to change the power filter board myself but they say this will void the warranty. So, I will be without my Le200 for at least another 3 weeks.

Hi HK6230,

What a bum*** Sad. Can't your dealer loan you a unit in the meantime?.

David

Oops, sorry missed that one Blush !
My unit has been fixed and will be returning from France today. Now, just wait for a few days for its arrival in Shanghai.
