Dear all, I can get a companion for a good price. Looking to the specs, maybe the 400 is a little too much power for my B&W 804... any experiences or advice?

It's not all about the power. Adding a companion does seem to bring good things to sound quality even at quite low volumes.
Will you get a chance to try out the 400 with your speakers, in your home, before making a decision?

Thanks - I like it too!
No, I don't think it's over-powered -- to be honest I'm not sure how I'd tell, other than having to keep the volume at a low setting -- but if I did, I could always dial down the maximum power output in the configurator.
