Hi guys, just joined this forum as i just received my Silver Phantom on Friday and I'm loving it.
My first question was about the remote control. Can it be used without the Dialog as im not using one due to only having 1 Phantom (at the moment  Rolleyes).

Im using it as follows.
Source. HP Laptop with iTunes , files on as Apple lossless.
Preamp. Musical Fidelity M1SDAC with Optical out fed into the Phantom. This way i can even use analogue inputs to the Preamp such as my Fiio X5 DAP or even a turntable using a phono stage.

The only problem is i have to use my iPad or iPhone to adjust the volume using Spark which is annoying as this way i work it renders the preamps volume useless.

Anyway i hope someone can give me some assistance.

I was going to post a pic but it says its too large.
Remote pairs with the Phantoms via Bluetooth to control the volume. I only pair it with one of them and it works. Sliding volume control on Spark is so French, a remote is almost necessity.

Remote does not pairs via Bluetooth!

You can pair him with one phantom
Yes, remote works with a single Phantom. In case of two Phantoms, it changes the volume via the Phantom, and then Dialog changes the volume on the second phantom.
Thanks for the replies. Looks like it will then. Cool. I'm not really fussed on Spark as sometimes when I turn it on it doesn't find the Phantom and wants to start setup from scratch.
On a side note, although it's mono sometimes it's hard to pinpoint where the sound is coming from. It seems to throw it all over the place which i like.

I replaced 2 Musical Fidelity x-a200 Monoblocs and a pair of Monitor Audio GS60s with 1 Phantom and so far I'm impressed. And i haven't even turned it up passed 50 yet Shy
Whatever spark is running on needs to be connected to the same "LAN network segment" as the dialog/phantoms. Spark, Dialog, and Phantoms all talk to each other using network broadcasts. This can be tricky.
My remote arrived today. After a slow start in waking up it paired ok. However when I watched the volume on the spark app the volume increase and decrease was very sluggish and stuttering. Is this normal?

No that's not normal
Do a Total factory reset and paire then again
I was under the impression that you didn't need to have the Spark app running to use the Remote Control. Can someone tell me if that's correct? I was hoping not to use Spark as at the moment i only open the app to use the volume on it.

No, you don't need the spark app running to use the remote control
