I could not agree more. For me this forum was a godsend. Help from forum members early on with my Devialet was invaluable, as it has been in my recent search for speakers.

Members taking time to help others .....all in the name of music. Excellent. Thank you to the founders.
I have been lurking in this forum since 2014 and I have benefited a lot with the diverse wealth of knowledge contributed by the members here. And this is only made possible by the founders and administrators who started this forum.

I took the plunge and bought myself an Od'A earlier this month. Fueled by the convincing user experience by someone in the Od'A thread, as well as a photo uploaded by a member showing that it is still available in my part of the world. A big thank you to them. All along I thought the 100 sets would have already been snapped up within weeks of the official launch.

Happy to be part of the community and glad that the Od'A did not disappoint.
Aw, shucks!  Blush

Hi Mr Bond, care for a martini?
I don't think I would buy a Devialet 200 without this forum, even though it is full of customers reporting various problems (mostly connected with AIR). But open discussion about what works and what could be a problem reassured me that 200 is still worth it. Smile

This made me think that perhaps it was time that we acknowledged the good work of the founders and Administrators Martyn (The mysterious), Guillaume (Le gouverneur) and Rufus (The humble).

I'm sure many of us quietly appreciate their good work and appreciate the value of this site.  A site which in return for it's services asks for nothing, no fees, no banner advertising, no request for contributions, nothing.

There is also a mysterious quality to the forum, which is a credit to both the admins and members, in that by the standards of hifi forums this is a remarkably civil place to visit.  (I am sure I'm not the only one who has witnessed some similar forums periodically descend into the virtual equivalent of total war)

So credit to all concerned.  Personally,  I have benefitted enormously from the advice I have received from a number of members.  Plus, I would like to think that I have assisted one or two folk on here myself.  (without annoying too many I hope)

However, I think the passing of the 2000 members milestone is an ideal opportunity to say a sincere thank you to the founders and Administrators.

Much appreciated guys!

+1 great post!
Well done guys! I come here almost daily so very much appreciated.
Thanks mod's GREAT work. Please keep it up

Brian
Great work chaps, much appreciated. (And thanks, Confused, for getting this ball rolling!)
I must say I am touched by all this positive sentiment. Just to set the record straight it was Martyn's idea in the first place. I was initially a bit dismissive. But then it all went a bit pear shaped on Hifi Wigwam and I thought what the hell lets do it! We have to do something! I soon enlisted the support of my trusted hifi buddy Rufus to help out with the running of the site. It's remarkable how few times we have had to intervene really (ok I know I had to lock a thread recently but I believe that was to everyone's benefit, really!  Angel ). It's a great crowd here and I like the fact that folks still come here after selling their Devialet. And the fact that we are tolerant of one another, that's perhaps the most important thing.

Cheers guys  Smile keep up the good work/chat/banter.  Heart

Guillaume
