Good to hear that. I mean you have the black box and the second box so a third box that only is used with the dual mono amps must be possible to replace with something else.

Did you get your amps back in a original single box from Devialet?
If people keep asking them questions they could have easily answered themselves of course everyone has to wait longer for answers. Big Grin (Not saying this applies to all questions)

Devialet doesn't "want" you to send your amps in the specified packing material per se. You can send them wrapped in your bedsheets if you want but it's at your own risk. Wink The terms and conditions clearly state:

Quote:The benefit of the following Expert Upgrade Offer are subject to the compliance by the Customer with the terms and conditions of pickup of the Product as provided in the terms of the order. Under those conditions, the costs incurred for the shipping of the Product will be borne by Devialet and Devialet will bear the risks related to the shipping of the Product. In case of failure by the Customer to send the Product within the contractual period provided in the order, Devialet reserves the right to postpone the upgrade processing period. In such event, Devialet will inform the Customer of the new period of upgrade processing.
Upon confirmation of the order, Devialet will provide the Customer with a packing slip. Devialet will not be liable for any damage suffered by the Product in case of non-compliance by the Customer with the packing instructions.
Upon receipt of the Product, Devialet will check the aesthetic condition of the Product et its potential external defects. Devialet will not be liable for any defects or damages to the Product identified upon receipt. In such case, Devialet will inform the Customer in writing of the external defects identified upon receipt of the Product.

Also the website clearly states you'll receive new packaging material when it's sent back to you:

"When upgrading your Expert, very special care will be given to your system so that you can enjoy it like it was the first day. In addition to all the hardware and software improvements, you will receive:
Your Expert and your Remote completely refurbished
New packaging
A new power supply cable
A new 5 years warranty"

Well my questions to them had nothing to do with the packing.

Now I know everything without bothering Devialet about the upgrade and I was stupid not to read everything about the upgrade but things changed today as I have decided to do the upgrade and not had the time to read throug every bit of text Smile
I too decided to go for the upgrade today and so thought that especially today, before ordering, would be the day to read through every bit of text. Wink

OK sorry, I'll stop being pedantic now! Big Grin
Well Guys, So far quite impressed with the service from Dev despite a rocky start!

Like other, it appears, I was initially perplexed why after a number of weeks after order I had not received any packaging - NADA, but a quick email and I got a response from 'Roger' who said boxes were on their way, and they arrived after a day or so... Then I had to work out how to get the labels and gave up after a few hrs, so emailed Roger again... Turns out that there is some sort of glitch in their systems,(according to Roger) and the people responsible for sending are separate to Mr Roger... but low and behold a day later - labels - Yeay!

Then the next hurdle was to decipher how to get it collected by UPS! No info on box (as per Devialet info), no number either for UPS collection...and the nice UPS lady I ended up talking to knew nuffink about it...Hmmmm

..so rang Mr 'Roger' again.. Mr Helpful Roger gave me a number + reference number and a couple of days later my package was collected - That was end September...

2.and a half weeks later my new updated Dev has turned up! Sooper-quick! Bit taken aback really! much quicker than I anticipated!

Snuck a butchers at what was in the packages and I was well pleased! - Nice shiny new 440 pro both units protected with clear sheaths, same for remote, new super link cable and professional looking mains cables...

Problem is... I have moved recently to a new home and my targeted new music/cinema room is still full of boxes so 2 months away from being ready for it's intended purpose.. booo-hoo!... so I have to wait till around Xmas to find out if all this shiny new stuff lives up to the hype!

Have you noticed a slight "notch" in the operation of the remote. Mine certainly has a detent.
Made the jump and placed the order for 400 -> 440PRO

Yes, I have.   Not there on the remote for the 200.   But it doesn't seem to have any effect on usage or sound so I'm fine with it.
