As I have noticed exactly this issue with a microRendu, is there any other way to test the theory. As an example, I could run my own 'dedicated mains' spur, which would be a super long extension lead (which I have) to the mains socket next to my mains consumer board in my garage. Would this be enough to mitigate a 'leakage loop'? I could run the mR from a battery, but to be honest I am unsure if it would run properly from a battery?
Are there any other ways to break a leakage loop? Without spending cash that is! I do not need to, as the Mutec MCS+USB appears to do the job anyway. I would be interested in doing this though. As I can hear the issue in my system running the mR via USB, if there was a direct way of resolving the issue, it could well demonstrate something very interesting.
