I think I experienced the dreaded white noise the other day. I was playing music from J.River via wired ethernet and all of a sudden it just started to get nasty and distorted sounding! I switched it off and moved to my Sonos that's wired via Coax and no problems. This episode pushed me to order an Auralic Aries..
