Just removed the battery lock and dont connect

Try some fresh batteries. The ones that came with my remote were useless.

I had trouble the first time. Changed batteries, still the same. Did a full reset and then worked fine and has done ever since. Might be a silly question, but I assume you are holding it inverted above the Phantom to connect it?

Checklist.
1. Make sure batteries are the correct way round.
2. Turn remote upside down and see if a tiny blue LED lights up.
3. Hold remote upside down just above the centre of the Phantom for about 5 secs until its little wings move out.
4. When trying to adjust the volume check to see if the blue LED flashes 4 times. This means its not linked to the Phantom.
5. Open Spark app and see if the volume changes when you turn the dial on the remote.
