It gives a burst of ultra high frequency noise every 10 seconds undetectable by human ear. It keeps the bugs out of your home. But it only works on the little ones Tongue

Rats can pinpoint the location of a sound to within about 12 degrees for clicks or 9.7 degrees for a burst of white noise ...I asume early adopters of AIR have no rat problems in their houses Big Grin

How about Acoustic Insect Repellant?

Edit: I just had a shower and it seems I do most of my fun thinking there Wink so here goes:

It's all part of the Every Vermin Out platform with Intelligent Crawlies Management. It only works on minor bugs at the moment but they are working on the Rid Insects of All Ages curve.
I do hope they finally fixed SAM & IM settings to be remembered per source. Which is really annoying if you have to manually adapter settings all the time when you switch from one source to another.

Yes, it would be nice if Devialet told us what bugs they are trying to fix, rather than letting us lot try to guess.  (not that I'd noticed any bugs personally)  It's the same old Devialet issue of poor communication.
It's one of those cases where it would be a lot less effort for them to actually publish the release notes/change log with each new firmware simply to prevent multiple support enquiries as to which bug is fixed or whether that new feature was introduced. They really do like making life difficult for themselves, or rather the poor sap doing customer support.
Well I've contacted Devialet support and apparently 10.1.0 is a simple update of what they are calling their 'Firmware Update Code'. Apparently some users are a little disappointed that having got used to some interesting firmware updates with new features every six months or so, there has been nothing of interest for a while, hence the nominal update now.

With all the focus now on the new OS board, Devialet are unlikely to be giving a 'Firmware Update Code' for the rest of the year.
