This is stereo and AV. Since getting the Devialet have been using it for TV and films, never could be bothered before.

The only reason for opening the unit is to play records, with digital it stays closed all the time.

Nice and cozy A/V room! Is that a white sub on the left, and what speakers are these? With the Dev remote you can neatly hide it all away in your cabinet.
Is that a PSU or Phono Stage on the right? Your turntable weight looks hefty.

Is it a problem having a sculpture on top of the sub?

And who is the artist for the piece to the left of the TV? I like it.

Is it kadishman on the wall ?
The speakers are Harbeth SHL5+ 40th Anniversary Limited Edition. I previously had the regular SHL5+. The LE are better and are the only ones in walnut. The sub is a REL S/2. It just adds in between 25-40hz, although the SHL5+ are perfectly good without it. Sculpture makes no difference!
The turntable, made by Claro, is all aluminium, so is very light. The platter in 70mm of Acetal, so is heavy and totally inert. The box to its right is the speed controller. It is optional. If you only play at 33 you can plug the mains straight into the back of the plinth.
The litho on the left is by Bridget Riley. Well spotted no32, the one on the right is a Kadishman painting.
Interesting , anything else in your collection ?
Can I ask what make the AV unit is? With out going into too much detail, I might have a use for something similar myself, that is with the lifting lid / top surface.

A very neat and tidy system by the way!

Edit: Looking at the picture with the lid lifted and the turntable in view is strangely reminiscent of my parents late 1960's Dynatron music centre (music sideboard). Although the turntable inside is somewhat more impressive!

My wife has bought things over the years. The ones I like are Magritte, Mattise and a Henry Moore. The latter was allegedly a birthday present for me one year, a bit like buying a bit of hifi and saying you bought it for the wife as she also likes music. The first I knew about the Kadishman was when I picked her up from the airport. Her parents were collectors, we just buy a few things we like as it's better than blank walls. The overflow ends up in my office. I've avoided art collecting for investment purposes, although years ago a friend who was/is a leading dealer tried to get me involved, and it would have made me lots of money. I'd rather go to galleries and enjoy exhibitions. Last week we were up at Henry Moore's studios in Perry Green for an excellent exhibtion of his early works and influences and the American Art exhibition at the British Museum, which is incredible. This Saturday we are going to an exhibition at the Ashmolean in Oxford (Picasso/Degas) as well as a concert and lecture (Oxford May Music: Vivaldi, Brian Cox). When the wife books a restaurant, it will be looking like a perfect day. Better than sitting at home listening to music.

It was made by http://www.audinni.com
It's the bespoke side of Blok audio stands, run by a very good guy called Simon Gavin.
He does the design and then subcontracts out the fabrication to local craftsmen (who I suspect work mostly for him), which is a lot more cost-effective than running a factory. He is very good on the details. The gas level in the arms is adjustable so the top and front can be raised and lowered when a record is playing without any problems.

He also made me a matching unit for record and other storage. There is a picture on his site when I had valve amps, had to operate it open. Besides not liking to have audio in the open, I don't worry about cartridges being damaged.
