Hi,

Noob here. Recently I got a phantom gold and am trying to set up the system using Ethernet. I'm connecting up my speaker via a Lan port that's connected to an internet router 3-4m away.

The issue is that I can't seem to be able to set up the system via the Lan port. The speaker does not seem to be able to detect any internet signal through the Lan port. Lan port and Lan cable (cat 6) work well with other devices. I can only do so when I connect the speaker directly to the internet router which is pointless as the speaker will be totally away from where it can perform optimally. The speaker can't  seem to be A ble to transmit any wifi network too.

Does anyone have any solutions to this? Much appreciated! ?
Hi Longenus,

I would recommend trying a hard reset on the Phantom first. Have your Ethernet plugged into Phantom before you start. Once that's done do the reset by rapidly pressing the button on the back 3 times in a row until Phantom's woofers move and it makes a distinct click sound. After this wait for it to restart and play it's boot sound.

Go to the Spark app on your phone or PC (if it's already running, completely close it and reopen it) and configure Phantom as it says in the app. Hopefully this will work for you. If it doesn't, do the same thing again but try Wi-Fi instead.
If it still doesn't work then maybe there is a problem with your Phantom but usually that is not the case. I suspect once you get it hooked up it will have a Firmware update to download and install so I'm certain however you initial set it up it will fix any issues with other setup methods.

If you have managed to get it working at all so far in a temporary location, I think you said directly into the router?, I would suggest setting it completely up and checking to see in the Spark app if there are any firmware updates available. If so, do them, then go and set the Phantom up in your desired place.

Let me know if it helps!

If you have Mac filters on in your router settings you have to add the Phantom mac address in your router.
