wow !!   Smile     The Nativ Vita is Roon ready, works with iPad / iPhone and outputs AES/XLR which would be the most preferred input to the Devialets ... And is $1,599 for a driveless model ...

looks like a winner here  ...

I am quite interested in the Nativ Vita. AES is my opinion presently the best sounding input but ethernet could be superior after the core infinity upgrade with improved ethernet input and switch. So I am thinking Vita for AES or Zenith II for ethernet.

Nativ Vita is working currently on Roon end point requirement and Roon is not available. No MQA for 1599$.
Sorry an NUC + Roon + Air Ethernet is unbeatable with my iPad Pro for remote.
Cheers Wink
Wow, so many great replies, thank you.
The Innuos stuff looks fantastic and does it all but too expensive right now.
So I will try to find a local equivalent of the "Intel NUC"- does it run ROCK as an operating system?
I am content to do without the TV interface if the rest of it works well. And I agree, SQ is VERY important to me, but I am trying to stick to a budget.
Thanks again, I am so thrilled with so many answers
regards
David.

Do you think it is more stable running Rock on a dedicated mini PC than on a Mac mini? Is it stable then?

I'd say it's dangerous to try to generalise!  For what it's worth, though, Roon/AIR is rock solid on my Mac Mini.  I get the impression from reports here and on the Roon forum that Roon/AIR is generally less prone to problems than Devialet's AIR "virtual sound card" driver.  Then again the latter still works well on my other Mac too.

I too am very satisfied with the performance of Roon-Air on my Macbook Air without a single issue till date ... And IMHO, its way stable that Roon Core + Devialet AIR ... hence I would definitely not switch from Roon-Air on my mac.

Could you please elaborate more on this " Nativ Vita is working on Roon end point requirement "  ?

I'm a bit of a newbie on this ...  Smile
