Phantom Elevate was released today, is this simply the White or is ADH2 something new for the White model?
Does this support AirPlay as well now?
Looks like there is a small price drop as well compared to local prices here.
To my knowledge ADH2 so far was only built into the Gold Phantoms. This surprised me as well. Could be that the Gold my Phantom initiative aims at replacing ADH Phantoms with ADH2 devices. In this case further sound improvements for non-Gold Phantoms are expected, specifically the much lower hissing level that must be a ADH2 improvement. This is independent from the power improvements that all White Phantom owners received a few days ago. I do not believe that ADH2 is a software thing only, but implies a change of the ASIC.
Since the White was just firmware upgraded to the exact specs as this Elevate, is it possible they are able to firmware upgrade the ADH2 sub-system?
Many questions surrounding this one, I have 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Whtie. But at this price I don´t mind picking up a couple of Elevate as well if it has AirPlay.

According to the Devialet website all Phantoms have ADH2 technology, even the Silver Phantom; Gold, and White. This makes me believe even more that ADH2 is just a software enhancement. Better optimisation, processing, signal techniques, and so on because as far as we all know Silver Phantom has NOT been upgraded whatsoever other than AirPlay hardware which was added sometime this year. Unless they also secretly added ADH2 hardware at the same time that they added AirPlay hardware this must just be all software. If they did secretly add new hardware that does not explain why ALL current and original White Phantoms also can achieve this "60%" performance increase across power output and volume. Surely the original units would be lacking the capacity to perform better if it required a new hardware.
Why must it be that the power uplift of the whites has to do with adh2? The experts also got a power uplift in the past, without a redesign of the ADH part.

ADH2 is material and came first with the gold then a couple months after on the rest of the models.
First generation (no bluetooth) and 2nd gen (with bluetooth but no Airplay) Silver Phantoms feature ADH and not ADH2. They also have a TI DAC and not the Devialet DAQ. The specs in terms of distortion and noise are worse than what now is specified on the Devialet webpage that apparently describes a 3rd gen Phantom Silver. Same for the white Phantom that in comparison to the Silver Phantoms has been remamed to Phantom Evolution. The Gold Phantoms were from beginning equipped with all components of the 3rd gen Phantoms. These overall evolutions are great for new customers as in theory they should receive Phantoms with better sound quality. So far this was very evident for the Gold Phantoms, but had not been reported by Silver or White Phantom owners. Specifically, in the mids all Phantoms should sound the same and on lower volumes there should be no difference in the Bass neither. The titan tweeter of the Gold Phantom might be a bit better and might explain the higher transparency and airyness. Can anybody confirm such observations? I have first and 2nd gen Silvers and 2 Gold Phantoms. The Silver Phantoms sound still the same as on day 1 and the Golds also, except for the power supply noise that got removed with a firmware update around 6 months ago. Indeed the Phantoms are an evolutionary system. Curious what we can expect in the future.
As Devialet is stating ADH2 for Elevate it is possible that the new model is, in fact, a Gold with 'just' 1200 watts and a fabric tweeter. Upgrading Whites to 1200 watts is maybe just a move to avoid owners of original Whites to get too p**ed. The price of Elevate is also around 25% less than White.
EDIT: I've read the specs of the new lineup. ADH2 for all three Phantoms so it is more likely that the new Elevate is a Silver with less power. And the tweeter is aluminum, not fabric
Mmmh, this week I have decided to upgrade from the Whites to the Golds. Now I'm a bit unsure if that was the right decision.
