Hello,

I am not sure whether I should post this in this section of the Forum or under the "Speakers" section ...

Is the Devialet 120 beefy enough to decently drive a pair of B&W 803 or 804 Diamonds ? Or shall I consider a Devialet 200 instead ?

Worst-case scenario: does anybody think that even a Devialet 200 is not enough to properly drive a pair of B&W 803 Diamond ?

Thanks in advance ...
I have matched a devialet 120 with the B&W 804D - it is fabulous

Yes - SAM made a real difference.

Obviously I had finalized on Cyrus Lyric-09 or Naim SuperUniti until I saw Devialet on stereophil. I just sent request for D120. Obvioulsy D120 is a stretch for me from Lyric/SU, but willing to take the plunge.

Any one on this forum have opinion regarding D120 cannot drive "KEF 203/2 Reference"? (for specs you will have to copy within quotes -> google -> reach KEF site).

But D120 or any of the Devialet's Look Fab and i can minimize  whole setup. Also I m NOT high volume listener, in case if this is helpful for tips/input.

Currently KEFs are driven by Rotel RA1570 (borrowed).

JNan, I think the OP was asking about B&W 803/804s.
You should not steal his topic, I suggest you delete your post & start your own NEW THREAD else this will become a muddle
Thanks!. removed.
I have a D-250 and used to have 804s and upgraded a few years ago to 803d (not Diamond, the previous version).
The 804s sound lovely and the 803d sounds majestic.
I can't really say if a D-120 will not be up to the job. A D-120 driving 803d at moderate levels (what people need to do when they have neighbours), should not be a problem, given the extreme driving capabilties of a Devialet (low output resistence and high current). However, if you play at head banging levels you may want to make sure you make the right choice.
