Hi,

I have an original d'Premier which has been fully upgraded to Expert Pro 250.

Am I correct in understanding that the Expert 1000 Pro is essentially assembeled from two such Expert Pro 250s?

If I purchase a second upgraded Expert Pro 250, can the two be configured to become an Expert 1000 pro?

Thanks for your help,

Murray
You need either a Companion 250 Pro or as you suggest a normal 250 Pro. Either will do the job. The Companion doesn't have a remote control or WIFI card but all that might all change once you've had it upgraded with the new Core Infinity boards.

The simple answer is yes.

You can add another full 250 pro or get a 250 pro companion, the companion won't come with a remote.  Alternatively, they are supposed to be opening the upgrades up again so you could buy an older model and upgrade again if that works out.

I'm considering the same myself in the near future.
Ok, thanks guys - much appreciated.

I had 2 x D-Premiers and had both of them upgraded to 2 x 250Pro's (gives me option in future if want to split).

Set-up as 1000Pro (even says on the display on top), works fine for me.

Any idea when ?

(I missed the last one as I live in the back & beyond where UPS doesn't function but will try & catch this one with my D400 - -> 440Pro).

They said after the core infinity boards have been fitted to those devices already upgraded.

Hi,
What kind of sound quality changes can be noticed when adding a second 250 Pro CI (250 Pro CI --> 1000 Pro CI)?
Thanks,
RayMo
@RayMo

Keep your money in your pocket until they sort out the software or you'll just be disappointed.

When I had 1000Pro before the CI upgrade fantastic sound, but after upgrade ................
my 1000 pro is perfectly working after the CI update. AIR has problems but as I'm using AES with a Mutec setup I don't care currently. In general the mono configuration gives more control and more dynamic. The absolute gain in SQ depends on your speakers requirements. You should try before you buy...the pro/CI update gives a bigger improvement imho...
