Could I remind members old and new to please consider composing a signature holding details of your setup. It only takes five minutes to do and is useful for assisting anyone who is having problems and cuts the need for unnecessary questions regarding your system. For those of you who don’t know, here’s how it’s done: Sign in.
From any page in the forum, look up in the top left corner, a couple of lines down, click on "User CP"
This takes you to your Control Panel. Click on "Change Signature", ringed in the screenshot below.
[attachment=2573]
In the "Edit Signature" box, select your font, colour and formatting to your taste, then go ahead and list your system. Don’t use too small a font or to weak, i.e. yellow, a colour. Include as many details as you can, and when you are happy with the result (you can see a preview in the box above where you are typing, if you click on "Preview Signature") click the  "Update Signature" box, and you are done. From now on, any post that you make will automatically have your custom signature included at the bottom, like mine below.
Good tip/suggestion. Reminded me to update my system.
@Axel
Good reminder. If I could add two items to this request. First, I always find it helpful to know where members are. Even a reference to a continent helps; giving us a country helps even more, especially when others try to help solve problems or answer questions with voltage, currencies, shipping, service or dealers, or streaming services and internet providers. All as Axel notes in the first post.

Second, I always appreciate signatures that are space-conscious. Just as it is considerate to edit quoted posts (where logical) so that replies don't include a long post with a '+1' added, it seems like good form to keep signatures to a few lines, rather than a 10 cm/ 4" list of gear. Opinion may be divided on the matter, but that is mine. Cheerio.

Good advice, @Damon. Thanks for the input. Smile
Well, it looks like the three of us are "compliant".

+1....sorry Damon Tongue
I also think that it makes sense to link the signature to the system page for more details.

I did add my location to my signature, but the part I really want to work on is the content (better equipment). Wink
