Agree with Petrik; Womaz had indeed already confirmed that he does not have the CI board and prefers Tidal's SQ.

All things considered, in retrospect I am not sure if my $4,500 upgrade to the Pro with CI and now Spotify Connect (as I can't hear a great difference with Tidal) is necessarily significantly better in SQ for the cost than my former non-Pro Dev with Tidal and Roon (with any upsampling and EQ adjustments), as Womaz is running with. If Spotify were much less useable, I would have given Tidal's SQ the benefit of the doubt, but agree with cereal killer; it also depends on the albums. I look forward to trying Quobuz when it becomes available in the US.

My main reason for upgrading to CI was based on my belief that you should minimize the number of elements in the chain to keep the source as unadulterated as possible. We were told that not only Spotify, but also Tidal and Roon RAAT could make it onto the CI Board. I could then worry less about the noise my Mac Mini makes and take out further variables. Let’s see if this happens!

So many factors to consider, all part of the subjective journey!
Just in case you're still considering it, there's a white paper about the Roon Nucleus that you might find interesting.

It outlines how Roon have gone to quite some lengths to make the Nucleus a very easy-to-use, trouble-free "appliance".
@thumb5 thanks for this, I have read through it . I think I am favouring the zenith for its simplicity.
I just get the impression nucleus would be better used with a Music player of some sort.

I have a feeling that Nucleus is more simple than Zenith because it has less features.

What is this "music player" that you are referring to?
@petrik I meant like a microrendu or something similar. After a lot of reading of forums etc that is my gut feeling , like it’s primary function is to be the server. To get best results maybe it is to be used with another USB device attached to the Devialet

Ok, I understand. Anyhow, it is Roon's recommendation to separate the Core and Output. It doesn't matter whether you use Nucleus or Zenith to run the Core, the recommendation stays the same.

@petrik Yes I have read quite a bit on this also. For me this is not really an option unless I continue to use my laptop via Ethernet, but as I stated in earlier posts this gives me a bloated unsatisfactory bass. I also think the Zenith looks like it has been optimised for music playback and it keeps my set up simple. That for me is a big plus, yet I still not made the final decision.
Steve, I think you may be under a misapprehension that you need to use a laptop and a device like the microRendu with Nucleus.  It should stream directly to your D 200, and would be controlled by a phone or tablet; no laptop required.  It is also optimised for playing music, of course.

You would need a wired Ethernet connection to the Nucleus as it doesn't have wi-fi.  There's a set-up guide (on Henley Audio's web site) that might be worth a look if you're concerned about keeping things simple.

Not wanting to "argue" with you, needless to say, but just to make sure you have all the information you need.
From what I've read about both so far I have to agree with @thumb5. I reckon from a user friendly point of view the Nucleus is probably your best bet. As for sound quality differences, I think you're our guinea pig Womaz.
@thumb5 Hi Ian yes I do understand that but Roon say ideally you should not have the core next to your Hi-Fi system. I know ‘the zenith will be next to my Hi-Fi system too, but it also has the hard drive already in. Also nucleus a very new product , not a great deal,of users out there I don’t think. It just sort of makes me a little more nervous after a couple of bad experiences . It’s not totally ruled out yet though.
