Hello

I have a D250pro and I am considering a nice opportunity to get an other 250 pro to switch to D1000pro but I will not be able to listen to it before buying.
Do you think that upgrading from 250 pro to 1000 pro on B&W 802 D3 can bring a noticeable gain in sound quality ? Have you already experimented it ?

Thank you for your valuable feedback

Kevin
I also use a single 250 Pro CI. I am quite certain you'd notice a clear improvement going D1000. I am hesitant only because of cost and a little bit regarding placement, but if that is not a problem for you, go for it!
Hopefully someone with the D1000/802D3 combo can chime in with their experience.
I think it is not depending on the speaker if it is not extremely power hungry.
The 1000 will always give you a more relaxed presentation, simply the feeling of unlimited power.
If the price is good go for the 2nd 250, you can always sell it again without big loss.
In the end you can only try yourself, the result also depends on your listening volume, the type of music and your sound preferences.
Thank you for your feedback.
I am considering a chance to buy a d premier for a low price and upgrade it to 250 pro once devialet will allow it again
I have owned this configuration in the past and can confirm there is a significative difference in jumping from 250 to 1000 with the 802D3.
B&W 800 series speaker really needs a lot of power to get an amazing sound. Dual mono is a must have if you own one 800 series speakers.

I finally bought months ago the old d-premier and just ordered now the upgrade to 250 pro for my birthday to pair it with my other 250 pro and switch on 1000 pro, can't wait to try it :-)

Congratulations!  Smile

I've been using the 440 Pro with great results [and earlier also bi-amped using another 440 Pro] but have now reverted back to a single 440 Pro with plans to add a pair of REL G1-MKII in the future if required once I've finished doing up my room acoustics.
Hi Zaienk and congrats! Smile I am also interested in to hear your feedback about 1000 Pro vs 250 Pro, since I am planning to have same route as you.
