Hi.
I have two phanthom whites and one dialog. I am trying to configure theese to the direct optical mode but are having some problems. After dooing som reaserch an testing it seems that one of the phantoms does not show up the bluetooth option. The phantoms are of two generations, one not having the airplay option, and one with airplay connectivity. The one not showing bluetoot option is the one with built in airplay connectivity.  When trying the devialet app (not spark) the «old» one without airplay connects imediatly, the other will not connect at all(is not found by the app, or found and shown in orange whith an ! In front.
Can anybody pls help ?
Best regards Lars
You can plug in a Bluetooth dongle. Whether they will synch together is another thing.

I hope I am not falsely raising your hopes but the lack of a Bluetooth option may be resolved with a Phantom firmware update.

I base this on my own experience with gold Phantoms.  I have five and one failed to offer the Bluetooth option despite all five having the same firmware version.  I raised a Help request to Devialet and, eventually, after much toing and froing failed to help, a firmware update was offered for the specific gold Phantom.
This update was successful and enabled Bluetooth.
Not long after, another Phantom “lost” the Bluetooth option and I repeated the process.  A firmware update was requested and applied successfully with Bluetooth being enabled.

So, please, raise a help request through the Devialet customer support. Provide details of the Phantom, in particular, the serial number and explain that Bluetooth is not enabled.  I hope you get a positive response.

Nb - the serial number can be found via the Spark app under the Devices tab, if I remember correctly.
Thank you for this suggestion, i have sendt a request to support. I did try the method in this link; https://help.devialet.com/hc/en-us/artic...66-m6wiOF8, but if i did it right it dit not solve the problem. BUT then how do i know if i did it right?

Thank you again, lets see what support says..

That method should update the firmware to the latest released version. If done correctly, the woofers will tremble and rest and then repeat until the update is complete.
I must have received a beta type version, which was applied automatically.
I’ll check tomorrow my Phantom firmware versions.

EDIT:
Firmware 1.14.2.2 was applied to enable Bluetooth on those affected Phantoms.
The other Phantoms have remained on firmware 1.14.1.3.
Hello again.

Thank you for your info, i have still not heard anything form Devialet, my firmware is 1.14.1.3 on both phantoms. How did you get 1.14.2.2 ?

best regards Lars

As previously noted, “I raised a Help request to Devialet and, eventually, after much toing and froing failed to help, a firmware update was offered for the specific gold Phantom.”

To clarify, the Devialet customer service passed a request to their ‘Technical/Engineer?’ department to automatically send a firmware update to a specific Phantom, as identified by the serial no.
This update was received a few days later and was 1.14.2.2.
Hello.
I have now had contact with support, and they told me to reset as explained to get a new special firmware. It was stated to last between 10 minutes and 2 hours. When i try it takes about 3-4 minutes before the phantom starts to sing, and no new firmware are applied. When replying this to support he replied that it would be escaleted to his superiors, so still waiting. I suggested they just send me the update files, and then i could do a update throug the web interdace at port 8000, but no reply.
So if anybody has any suggestion while i am waiting it would be much appreciated.
Best regards Lars

I am surprised that they implied the new firmware was available that quickly.

I can only repeat

‘To clarify, the Devialet customer service passed a request to their ‘Technical/Engineer?’ department to automatically send a firmware update to a specific Phantom, as identified by the serial no.
This update was received a few days later and was 1.14.2.2.’

To be honest, the firmware update may even have taken a week or more to be available.

So, I would try the update procedure each day and contact Devialet support if no change after a week.
Thank you, now it works!!!
Best regards Lars
