Hi all,

I'm going to buy a pair of phantom golds with the dialogue and I'd like to know if there is any way I can listen to music via WIFI but through the Samsung music player on my mobile instead of the Spark app.

I've tested a pair of golds using the spark app via wifi and also using my Samsung music player via Bluetooth. I've found the sound quality to be much better via Bluetooth and my music player over the spark app and wifi. Spark has no graphic equaliser and my Samsung music player does which allows me to get a much nicer and more dynamic sound out of the phantom golds. Yes I know wifi is technically better quality over Bluetooth, but I can't argue with my ears. My Samsung music player via Bluetooth just sounds better then the spark app via wifi.....period.

If I could somehow get a wifi connection and play music through my Samsung music player (with my equaliser settings) instead of Spark, then that should be the ultimate right?

Is this possible at all or some kind of variation?
Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

If the audio quality is your primary concern, don't use Bluetooth in any case.
Another point that you should not under evaluate is the quality of the source (Lossy, lossless)
If you use some MP3 streamed over Bluetooth you probably miss nothing.
You'll have to find the best match between the channel and the source.
You also have many workarounds to get rid of Spark.
Find a good music manager/ player with a DLNA (UpnP) that's compatible with the Phantoms
Don't use EQ, the sound you hear is artificial. Just train your hearing to get the best of it.
i do agree to some point wifi is always better but really would like to boost the base at lower listening levels. This is to my taste, the phantoms bass only comes alive over 60% volume.

Then there is something else wrong by you!
