hi..
i need help in making decision .
i have an option to by  a used d - premier with upgreted usb for 3000$ is the sound of the newer modles is better than the d?( 130/140/200 ).since i dont have the budget to buy new.is it worth it to ad 1k$ and go for the 200?
thanks in advance for replying
Hi @gert111 , does this D-Premier have an ethernet port? In that case you'd be able to use Roon's AIR to stream to the amp (provided you use Roon..). If not you can of course use the USB port. A D-Premier with firmware 10.1.0 should sound excellent. The 130 and 200 are similar (and also similar to D-Premier), the 140 is the 'new' generation with the CI streamer board. A 140 is probably better than the D-Premier in many ways, but is also more expensive. Another thing is that you might like the sound of D-Premier better in your system. I doubt a 1000 extra for a 200 would be worth it over a D-Premier.
In terms of sound quality, the D-Premier is very nearly the same as the D250 Expert. This puts it ahead of the 120/200 "Expert" models. It is not that simple though, the D-Premier does not have the Expert's EVO platform, so later firmware versions that run features like SAM and RAM, will not work with the D-Premier. The later "Pro" models have the new "core intelligence" streaming board, and the Pro's are a level up for sound quality over the Experts, in particular with respect to detail retrieval and resolution. So your decision might rest on if you desire SAM or not, over the D-Premier's slightly better sound quality. Plus, the D-Premier will petty much run any speaker, the 200 might struggle with one or two of the more demanding speaker loads. It might help if you give us some indication what speakers you have, or what speakers you might plan to run in the future.

For a simple answer, if it was me I would take a D-Premier over a D200, but a 220Pro over both.

That said, a D-Premier is a very nice bit of kit for $3000!

Good luck deciding!
thank's for your help the d - premier dosn't have ethernet.
and i am plannig to buy a used vivid 1.5 oval speakers.
i hope it will be a good combination.
i will be glad to have some rocomandetion to streem tidal with a low budget streemer.
I bought my D-Premier in 2012 so I ought to know that it does not have ethernet, but I had forgotten! I think it has wifi though, maybe it can work with Roon AIR for Tidal? Another possible streamer is an Allo digiOne HAT on a Raspberry Pi. It's cheap, but good. With Ropieee it will support Roon. DietPi or one of the others (like Moode..) has Tidal support either directly or via free server software. If you have a little Linux skills that is.. For digiOne/Ropiee/Roon it is not necessary to be linux-savvy.
thank's for help.
is anyone have any Experience with vivid speakers and devialet amp?
I believe @Flashman here on DC uses Vivid 1.5 speakers. He has now changed to a Lyngdorf amp, but used Devialet before that. He should be able to say something about this
tnx.maybe he will.
tnx again
Something else think about is any future upgrade you may want to do. The 200 to 220 pro ci is likely cheaper that getting the d premier to a 250 pro ci. That is, If the d premier upgrade to a 250 pro is even possible.

Sorry for the late reply: Devialet and Vivid Oval 1.5 speakers are a nice match, especially with the SAM profile.  I can honestly say that in moving to the Lyngdorf platform, I've lost some of the magic of the Devialet/Vivid combination.  I might be changing, yet again... Wink
