If size and space are a concern, you might want to consider a used pair of Magico Q1 instead of the A3. Should be a little cheaper on the used market than the A3 is new, and I found that they responded very well to SAM. I enjoyed the pairing of the Q1 with my Devialets (both as 250 and 800/1000) and thought both really brought out the best in the other.

Thanks for the suggestion. The room size is on the boarder-line of using bookshelf speakers versus floor standers. Unfortunately, the speakers are placed in a high traffic area and my wife bumps them at least 3 times a week. My concern that being top heaving could result in a divorce. I might take the time to map out the room with pictures and get suggestions from the group. I trust you guys more than anyone and your experience is well beyond many sales people. I'm not married to Magico but the pair did come up for about 1/2 retail a 20 minute drive from home.
The problem is that great speakers need room to breath and in a smaller, non-dedicated room, this can be a problem. I have a similar problem - smallish room and high importance of spousal acceptance. I solved this by switching to speakers that are designed to go up against the wall.... Von Schweikert VR35 (there are also the VR33 and VR22). They are pretty amazing speakers but I can't help but think that in the right room the Magicos would really shine.
Thanks, I do have about 4 feet to the sides and my tweeter is about 35" from the back wall. However I can't push the speakers against the back wall as I have an armoire that sticks out from the wall with TV Stereo etc. I understand changing that is not an optional program. In short I need the speakers out a bit to get around the front of the armoire, currently it is about 10". I'm less worried about room around the Magico's and more about enough power to really get the most of them. Add to that I am the type that if I have speakers that need more power to really perform I am likely to buy a companion unit......and I REALLY want this to be my last major investment.
Also kinda looking at Wilson Sabrina's. But again will likely post my room info when we are all released from our isolation and I can go look / listen to the options.
Magico begins supplying its first new A5 speakers to its dealers. According to the first feedback it will be an excellent speaker and I think there will be more A3 and S3 in the secondary market with a good price. Still, the A3 is an excellent speaker.
Yes, placing Magico in a space is the biggest problem and often requires a professional approach with the necessary reconfiguration of the room. But the result is breathtaking.
