As we are now approaching the DOS2 "age", I was wondering if Devialet has any plans to provide us with a UPnP player (better even OpenHome) solution for HiRes music streaming? I know many people crave for RAAT but not everyone buys into the Roon universe.
Actually, it feels a bit "strange" to use Linn Kazoo on my Mac and Kazoo and Lumin on my iOS devices to manage my Devialet Phantoms Music experience. In a way I am happy now, because it is responsive and offers more features. Still ...
I guess Devialet not even has to reinvent the wheel and possibly could license or use OpenSource code. It could even put Dialog to use again as a streaming server. Maybe they could also include Webradio apart from the streaming providers. Even if they would not decide to create a server app (there are plenty available and "backend" anyway"), a nice looking multi-platform front end app would be highly appreciated by me. What do you think?
Considering the software skills (hum) of Devialet, I think it's a great idea that they keep on minimum (but working) software...
Let's them have DOS 2 works flawlessly, and then they can add feature even new app.

I know what you mean and I totally agree that DOS2 has priority now. Would still like to see a more detailed roadmap though. What about a deal with e.g. "Audirvana", even if it is a "stripped"/white labeled version or we could get Audirvana at a discounted price? Just an idea.
Rather than develop something internally, I think Devialet should recommend and support (& work with the developers on) a few UPnP apps, at least one for Android and iOS.
I don't want them to enter the field! They need to focus on fixing what they have, and delivering what they promised, before they do anything else.
We still don't have a proper low latency solution, nor surround sound, nor a decent remote (IR, please!), nor Airplay 2.
They already got distracted making albums of content. I just want my speakers to be reliable and able to do the basics.
Make Spark a UPnP player. Go!

There are already tons of existing good Players and Music Manager
- Music Bee
- Volumnio
- Foo Bar
- Iriver
- Audio Nirvana
Why don't you use one that will be a billion times better than something coming from Devialet.
Devialet should work and focuse on how to increase the Dlna/Upnp compatibility with other Player.
Once they'll do this part of the job then will have nothing to fear.
It doesn't matter which app i use for upnp im getting audio dropouts. i have been in contact with devialet and they are aware of this bug.

Totally agree as well. They need to focus on stability (which would include making uPnP rock solid for those who use it), AirPlay 2 (on the roadmap next) and then hopefully Roon RAAT.
