It's now showing up for me, didn't have to reset my Phantoms or anything!
Updated my two Reactors and two Golds without any issues. Good going here so far. I'd say this is the maintenance release before AirPlay 2
let's wait again 1 year to have airplay 2 ...

Simply contact customer support to have the update pushed to your Phantoms as I did.
I have restarted just one on my devices (holding for 7 seconds the rear button), then all my devices have been automatically updated.
Someone know what is ?

I was able to get my reactors to update to 2.9.0 today but can't them to play in stereo now?

I have a Golds 2x in stereo, one Classic and one Reactor. After the update everything came back exactly as before the firmware change.
