I have an LG C9 TV, a pair of golds and a dialog. I haven't upgraded to DOS2 yet.
Before DOS2 came along I was going to connect the TV output to the dialog and hence to the phantoms.
If I upgrade to DOS2 then can I wirelessly connect the TV sound output to the Phantoms?

For your use case I don't recommend upgrading to DOS2 because you will loose Direct Optical Mode https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Direct-O...ode-How-to

Direct Optical Mode has the lowest latency and best for home theater use cases.
In DOS2, the lost of Direct Optical Mode means there's at least 60ms of latency causing lip sync problems.

For your use case, you can connect an optical splitter from your TV then connect a optical cable from the splitter to each of your Golds.
Set your Golds to Direct Optical Mode and choose the correct L/R channels for each Gold.
Thanks for your reply. I don't want any cables going to the phantoms other than the power cables. If there is a latency issue couldn't that be dealt with on the TV?
If your TV can do 60 ms delay, then try it. Otherwise will need to use optical.
Some people can cope with 60ms delay to the screen.

Ok, then could I just use the optical to the Dialog? I can't have any cable going from the TV to the speakers because the TV is on a lift mechanism (i.e. drops down into the floor when not being used). I could place a Dialog on the lift below the TV, but I would rather do away with the Dialog if possible.

Yes, connect via Dialog. You could remove the Dialog by upgrading to DOS2 (but please check the various DOS2 docs and threads first, not a risk free upgrade!). However, you will still need an optical into one of the Phantoms, which you said you do not want.

Ok, but I could also just upgrade to DOS2 and then bluetooth from the TV to the speakers? I really want to get rid of the Dialog!

In theory yes, assuming your TV can send Bluetooth and can adjust for latency. Are able to test Bluetooth now?

Suggest you read through DOS2 upgrade info

Then read the various posts on DOS2 migration. For many people, it has worked well. A few have been unlucky and a few others like myself have yet to migrate.

Can't test as haven't moved in yet. I guess what I'm after is someone on here who has actually used them like this. I guess once I do move in then I will upgrade to DOS2, see if they work okay via bluetooth, if not then I'm stuck with still using Dialog. Thanks for the input though Snoopy8, much appreciated.
