Some lights like LED or energy economize in the near area? That could causes sometimes trouble.

The Devialet is connected via Goldkabel interconnect to a Marantz AV receiver.
As soon as I switch the source to line-in there is a constant noise coming from the loudspeakers (no noise from other sources). The noise disappears as soon as I unplug the interconnect cables from Devialet.
The strange thing is the noise is there even when the Marantz isn’t connected with a power cable at all.

Yes I get the same problem, I’ve tried it on two Arcam Receivers, the AVR 850 and the brand new AVR 30.

It will only disappear if you turn the AVR off....

It’s clearly a Devialet issue, I’ve also experienced a problem when connecting a Musical Fidelity Valve Phone State to the Devialet 440 expert pro, sounds like a helicopter sound coming out of the speakers....

To me it really comes across as grounding/ground loop issues. Most receivers I know have two pole power plugs or an IEC connector without the earth pin present and thus are not connected to the safety earth. Since the Devialets are grounded, leakage currents because of differences in potential will flow through the Devialet to earth. One could try to ground the receiver chassis directly to safety earth of your wall power outlet/power distributor. This may not solve the issue completely though when currents will simply split over the two (or more) available paths to ground.

Think also this is grounding related. How do you suggest doing this?

Depends on how neat you want to do it. There’s many products available for this. Easiest and to quickly test would probably be using some copper wire underneath one of the outside screws of your AVR and connecting the other end to the wall outlet/power distributor ground, you can use a surplus, cheap power cord for example and only use the ground wire inside. Or just try a piece of wire and connect it to Devialets grounding screw. You could also use something like this: https://www.audioquest.com/accessories/v...saturn-psc

It’s best to experiment as grounding issues can sometimes be difficult to understand/diagnose. Do search around a bit using Google for more ideas. Fortunately I’m not suffering from these kind of issues so I have no direct experience.
