Full Version: iOS 14.0 - Expert Remote App Not Working

I have just upgraded my iPad and iPhone to iOS 14.0 and the Expert Remote App is not working. Anyone else have this problem. I have not tried using Roon yet.
Same here, both on iPhone and iPad.

That's exactly how it is with me! But didn't use the app!
I can confirm that iOS 14 breaks the Devialet remote app on my iPhone. I have 2 iphones, 1 on iOS 14, 1 on iOS 13.6. The iPhone on iOS 13.6 works fine with the Devialet remote app. The iPhone with iOS 14 just churns in the Devialet app without making connection.
Well, it’s good to know that Roon are doing the leg work for Devialet. I can start, stop and run my system on both my iPad aAnd iPhone via Roon. I have to say that Devialet’s apathy and or negligence for the Expert range is getting more than a little tedious.

With Devialet's current attitude, it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Yesterday they have warned the Phantom customers to not to update to 14.0. They have told that they have a new app release waiting Apple approval and the issue will be solved.

What about the Expert app and product line?
Nothing.

The AIR Mac OS app is not working (even can’t be installed) for Catalina and above for more than a year. Now we also lost the Expert remote too. Basically we forget about the updates but the maintenance is also not being cared any more.

Apparently they still have at least some software developers assuming the app will work again :-)

Pretty sure that article is all about the Phantom remote app.  While I suppose it is possible that the pending new Phantom app will include the Experts & Expert Pros, I'm not holding my breath on that.   The latest Dev app for the Expert/Expert Pros is v1.8.3 released back in July 2017.

I've posted the question to Dev Support as I'm sure many others have as well.
