So a year ago Devialet reached out to me to see if I wanted to upgrade my 400. The price was $7990 plus tax. I didn't upgrade. This week I reached out to Devialet to get a quote and it is now $5190 plus tax. I guess euro pricing may have impacted it a bit but not to this level. . is this a sale or was the original price just wrong?

At the begining of the Pro-upgrade, the price for the 400 -> 440pro here in Germany was 4000€ (and also for the 800).
After the first end of upgrade-possibility, the second price was 6000€ for the 400 and 8000€ for the 800 - but not so many did the upgrade in the end (I guess). So the price was reduced to 4000€ for the 400 and 6000€ for the 800.
My D400 are in France since Monday - and i notice on the new website: no more prices for a few days.
Now there are back and less 1000€ for the 800, but the same for the 400...

Could you please give some details on what the improvements were with the upgrade, Jantje?
I am agonising over whether to spend more on my D400, or jump ship to something like the Gryphon 300 w DAC...
