I just sold my 220 pro and until I get a time slot for the upgrade I am using the old D-P. Fun experience, the DP sounds really nice with vinyl, my only source at the moment besides a Bluetooth puck for very simple Spotify streaming. The functionality sucks however. Makes me wonder if the improvements in sound quality perhaps are a bit exaggerated as we upgrade our gear. I fel the DP really is a true bagain for someone whos main source is vinyl or perhaps cd's. Highly recommended, as they often say in the hifi magazines...
That is very interesting @frejo ! Can I ask which firmware you use on the D-Premier? You'd need something with SPDIF or AES/EBU out to stream I guess. Is the wifi board installed?
I am using the latest firmware, 10 something. It has no wifi board. I am using a very simple Bluetooth device from Nuforce that I had lying around connected with toslink. Works better than expected with Spotify. There is RAM but no SAM, but the bass is rather great without
I have a wifi board for a D-Premier - I bought the board ages ago but never managed to find a D-Premier to go with it :-)
I'd be happy to sell it, I don't think the chances of my finding a D-Premier are all that high!
@frejo If you are lucky the wifi board may support 24/44.1 or even 24/48 (in theory it supports up to 24/192, but that is not stable). AIR is quite good actually. I recommend Roon/AIR, but you're maybe not a Roon user?
Thanks for the offer but it will be shipped to Devialet for upgrade.
