Finally made the decision to hook up a turntable to my classic phantoms. Linked via https://www.project-audio.com/en/product...x-e-phono/

It works brilliantly. Reliving all my classic vinyls and they sound great.

I had given up on vinyl years ago and embraced the digital. I know the conversion is not true to the vinyl origins but it’s sounds so good to me. Perhaps my old vinyl set up 20 years ago wasn’t that great but this has reignited it for me.

Got the project carbon evo turntable hooked up now and for under £500 this is so worth the small investment.

Vinyl is the plural for vinyl LP’s or vinyl records not “Vinyls”

They are still LPs to me.
Vinyl makes me think of the leatherlook roof coverings and upholstery in 1960s cars! Smile
I can't bring myself to refer to an LP as "a vinyl" it sounds daft.
I am so jealous @tsmithpam !
I had a rega planar 3 and this https://www.project-audio.com/en/product...x-ds2-usb/ Preamp under the Xmas tree...
And the sound is muffled, I can’t hear anything until volume level 75 of my pair of Devialet Phantom Premier Gold...
no clue what I did wrong.

Increase the output gain of the RIAA. Will do wonders for the volume.
