Hello

I have a single phantom gold and it's mindblowing. Now i am thinking what it must be if i had 2 off this beasts, it is to expansive to just buy a second and see if it is worth the price. what do you guys think? is the difference big between 1 phantom gold and 2 phantoms. Let me hear yout thoughts.
I'm sorry to let you know, but the difference between 1 and 2 is very big.
For me it even goes so far that if I had to do it with 1 phantom, I would definitely have opted for other speakers.
1 phantom (as bluetooth speaker) is reasonable, but no more than that
As @Johnnydev says two Phantoms are a different league.Only with 2 speakers you get the sound reproduction the producer, interpret, and the sound engineer intended, at least for all records made in the last 40 years with exception of multichannel recordings. But also be aware that Devialet changed the appearance of their Gold Phantoms from glossy white to matte white. But maybe they still have some older models on stock or you can find them elsewhere in case you purchased the glossy white Gold Phantom. I recommend to buy a pair for stereo reproduction.
My first post here so bear with me.

I am in the same boat, itching for the second gold. I am just waiting for Devialet to finaly launch their Elevate program = trade in/up your older devialets.

Sorry, I can not be of help here. I haven’t seen the matte version, only the glossy one so far. This one can be identified quite easily. Any light source like a led light will produce a light reflexion of a point ‘star’ on the Phantom surface when looking at it in an enlightened room in the evening/night. I assume these reflections are not visible on a matte white. In the specs of Devialet both the original and the latest version specify the same: white RAL 9016 . No mention of glossy or matte. So, it can be no issue for you and the reports I saw about a matte version were imprecise.

I will contact devialet about this. i don't want to end up with 2 different colours. Thanks for the information.

Not necessarily, they upgraded phantoms on February 2 and changed colors - matte white and black.
