Sad day today. i have a pair of Phantom Golds bought late 2020 and today one of them refuses to power on.
this happened while i was watching a movie and the phantoms cut out during movie ( has happened for a couple days)
i would usually just reconnect (using Airplay from imac) and keep playing. sometimes it would need a hard reboot by unplugging the devices.
well today one of them won't power up. i've looked up the articles from devialet help and followed them doing the long press or the five quick presses on the back button but this didn't wake the Phantom Gold up.

i tested the plug for power by plugging in a lamp and confirmed there is power there.

i don't know if i missed anything.

emailed support waiting to hear back

appreciate any help on this if you have it.
i got a response from Devialet and they requested that i plug in the ethernet with power into the Phantom Gold for 2 hours.
was this supplied with the Phantom Gold? i would check the box but it is currently buried behind a bunch of other boxes and would require much sweat to get to.
can anyone here let me know this?
my router which is currently feeding the Phantom says it doesn't support poe
Are you shure they ment POE? Never heard of that solution. I don't think a POE injector is bundled with the speaker.

Did the phantoms have this 'pop' noise before cutting out? I don't know if this is against the rules but you can check my thread for this pop issue. The only difference is that mine powers back on perfectly fine after.

Did you solve this problem with your gold ? Could you share ?

Many thanks,

I have the same problem for 2 years now. they replaced my phantoms 8 times... the ones i have now are broken again. when i watch a movie and there is a heavy bass scene they pop and shut down. sometimes i can start them up somethimes they break completely. i have no idea what causes this problem also the support team as no clue...

Have you ever thought that the problme may be the bass-signal? If that is badly shaped it may damage any equipment. Look at the signal with a serious analytic tool.
Another avenue to consider is that maybe you don't have enough current on the circuit. I remember in my car audio days that a huge capacitor was needed to allow the subwoofer to really "bang" without having the car stall... maybe you need something like this?
