Hi,
I have two silver Phantom 1s, connected using a Dialogue, mostly playing music from Tidal. I've resisted the DOS2 upgrade so far cos it took me a long time to get the Phantoms playing without dropouts, and, well maybe I'm a bit lazy (didn't see any point in fixing something which wasn't broken).

Today, for some reason, my Spark will not log into Tidal (neither on PC nor Android). Not a password issue.  Can still log directly onto Tidal through Chrome.  Have Devialet &/or Tidal finally given up on this old configuration?  Anyone got any info?

Thanks for any help you can give...
Could be that Tidal has changed something in their end that affects Spark. You could use a Chromecast Audio to bypass the login problems in Spark.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm.  Could be, I guess.  I don't have a Chromecast Audio and I'd rather not do a speculative purchase of one just for diagnostic reasons.

I was kinda hoping that someone here might be able to either confirm having a similar experience of Tidal & Spark not working, or (maybe better still) indicate it was still working for them.

Or has everyone here moved onto DOS v2 some time ago?

Likely confirms it's a (new) incompatibility with Spark and Tidal. Spark hasn't changed, so I've contacted Tidal support to see if they can help.  Will let you know what I hear back.
So frustrating! I’ve been care free for the past 4 years
I got a reply from Tidal support. It's not too promising, folks...

Tidal: Thank you for reaching back out to TIDAL support. We're always happy to help!!

It's a broad term for the changes in the way their app and the TIDAL app interact. Unfortunately, I cannot go into more detail than that. You will need to reach out to Devialet for more information and to get this resolved. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

It was a pleasure assisting you today, if you have any further questions or concerns, let us know!

I sent a response as follows:
Thanks for the reply. Can you give me some more details regarding the "security details" changes which have happened?

I know that the Devialet Spark app hasn't changed, nor has my PC or Android O/S, so I'm guessing the security changes are actually on Tidal's end, in relation to how you are prepared to accept connections from the Spark app. I'm unlikely to get much success in getting Devialet to change an app which they haven't updated for around 3 years, but if I am to have any luck in this, I could do with being able to say what the necessary changes are.

Tidal support then replied: Thank you for reaching back out to TIDAL support. We're always happy to help!!

Yes on DOS1 on a pair of golds since 2017, no issues since, exclusively using Spark for the integrated Tidal streaming. But now it won't connect anymore.... Sad
My conclusion is that Tidal have changed some security protocol on their end, and expect Devialet to do the same with Spark - which of course they won't as they've made it clear that they wont be updating the s/w any further.

I guess DOS v2 upgrade, here I come. Anyone got a view on the best option for streaming Tidal to DOS v2 Phantoms?
