In my view the Tact/Lyngdorf thing never delivered. I tried the original Millennium and liked it a lot. I own the RCS 2.0 (but don't use it anymore). I then tried the Lyngdorf TDAI 2200. Quite nice, but it should have been much better compared to the Millennium considering the 10 years or so difference between the designs. The digital crossover in the 2200 was very good, but 'Room Perfect' is just nonsense in my view. It hardly corrects anything and you can't adjust how it corrects your system. The only positive thing is the fact that Room Perfect is performed in the amplifier. I use Audiolense for room correction. This is proper RC. Together with Acourate and even Dirac you get real correction. Dirac uses very short filters so does not correct bass as good as Audiolense and Acourate with long filters (65k of 132k)

Yes very subtle and understated in a way only the Americans can manage !!!

The steampunk/luxury watch look clearly isn't for everyone and I'm not sure what I make of the Mlife screen instead of the tone controls... having said that I've seen these amps quite a few times and I do think they look pretty good in the flesh. 

I've also heard the DAG pre and monoblock combo connected to some Wilson Alexias and it did sound rather special, with something very delicate and understated about its presentation... was the top end a little "softer" than the Devialet? Perhaps a tad warmer? I'm not sure but that's what I seem to remember. 

By the way I think Guildford Audio are hoping to have the Mlife at their show in April so those that are interested we can all go and have a look at it there. That's the Mlife not the Milf!

I guess Rowland's latest "integrated" could be considered competitive in terms of function but at 100 lbs. and $38K I'm not inclined to put my new 200 up for sale....

I really like the aluminium fronts and build quality of the Rowlands amps. I did try a Continuum S2 last year though and it didn't really do it for me unfortunately.

I owned the Peachtree Grand Integrated (the X1, with the updated USB input). In short, no - forget about it. In depth - 

Yes, it has a tube stage, an amazing volume control and plenty of inputs and outputs. But it doesn't have a phono stage, and its B&O ICEPower module leaves a lot to be desired from the audio quality compared to the D200. I specifically say "compared to" because by itself, it's quite amazing. But if you are comparing it to the Devialet, then it remains back in the dust.

It def challenges Devialet for SQ and all-in-all solution. No 'SAM' though but who knows when a function like this will be added.

Price is in the D800 area so not for all pockets.

I will run a comparison at my dealer at some time soon.
