Hi guys,
So I have two phantoms and been trying to find alternative stands for them as I feel the Devialet offering is costly. So I’m hoping I am not the only one who has been looking for something like this and maybe you guys have alternatives and can share some pictures or suggestions. One of the things I am curious is the mounting clip at the bottom of the phantoms is not available anywhere else but I think that you don’t really need to worry about that.
Hi
Although I haven’t bought anything from Audio Chic, I did speak with their support and they are very open for custom builds. I wanted a stand with an oval top to fit my phantom gold, and that wouldn’t be a problem.
However I live in Denmark, so the shipping + customs cost would be more then 1/3 of the total price.
So I had to decline their offer.
Anyway, take a look:

These are cool but just as expensive “almost” as the Devialet ones.

I was mostly worried about stability really but I might go down this route I think
If stability is the issue, then better to put them on a cupboard, but sit the Golds on Isoacoustics stands or pucks.
It is difficult to find a stand that is the same height as the Devialet one. Most stands are taller and hence you should tilt the Golds so that they point at the ear level.
Yes I hear you. But you got my attention about the isomounts I didn’t think the phantoms generated that much vibration tbh

I found that the Isoacoustics stands did improve SQ.

My friend has a woodworking shop with a cnc router. That's what we came out with for my secondary set of Phantom stands.
Same height as the originals.
Here's the solution I have used since 2016. Really ugly but works like a charm. I believe I paid about €20 for the brackets at my local metal shop.
