Acquired a LUMIN D2

Really good for streaming from Tidal and Roon
Connected a USB hard drive for stored FLAC and DSD files

But - DSD files will not play.  Pressing left remote button shows: No signal

The LUMIN's display states:  DSD 2822MHz 1 bit

Have used the digital out from the Lumin to digital in as below

@chrisc I think you need to use DoP - DSD packaged in a PCM container - This was introduced in firmware 8.1.0 and was called MAT. Should at least handle dsd64 (SA-CD format) I do not know if this is present in CI. Is there a setting in Lumin to enable DoP?

EDIT: there is a thread about this here https://devialetchat.com/Thread-Does-Dev...cimate-DSD

EDIT2: Devialet seems to have dropped MAT for the CI board. If so, your only option will be to convert the DSD stream to PCM on-the-fly. I think Lumin has an option for this under 'Resampling'
Yes, a big thank you

I had not explored the Lumin's menu sufficiently. The "quick start guide" is just that, some pretty pictures and lacking info

Playing DSD files and holding down the front left button of the remote shows "DSD64"

Next thing is to give the AES/EBU input a try. One never knows

A friend runs a high-end audio store here in Cape Town, although he designs their web page, he is not in equipment sales. He lent me some digital cables, ranging in price from US$30 to US$2800. There was a marginal difference at best. When I returned them, he gave me a short (0,5m) cable labelled "Lindy Cromo co-ax". This was a slight improvement over the Deskadel cable which was the best of the 9 I tried. Then he told me the price - US$22

He told me that many of his customers had reported the same thing. A Furutech cable costing 11 times that of the Lindy Cromo offered no improvement. Of course this may depend on the ancilliary equipment in use
You can also check if DSD128 works. There was some talk about adding support for higher rate DSD like 128 (and maybe even 256), but I do not know if that ever happened.
I changed the configuration by editing an existing file on the configurator website
(Mainly to reduce the sub voltage output from 1.8V to 1.0V)
Downloaded the file dp_cfg.txt
Copy this to the SD card

Looks like you have to start with a new configuration from scratch.

Yes, as @Delija says. The file starts with a CRC. No one has figured out which CRC Devialet uses so protected config files can't be edited outside of Configurator.
The CRC is generated by the lines of code within the file, not Devialet using a specific code. See here for full explanation:
