New at this group, although fan of te Expert looks - I've decided to order a custom leather mat (with design) to cover the "dust-/fingerprint magnet" top of my 1000 Pro stack. I really like the final results! Partnered with an Audiolab 6000CDT and some Entreq groundboxes, the musical enjoyment of this setup is BIG! For streaming functionality I use an Innuos ZENmini + LPSU.
The case has an important role as a heatsink. Remove that ASAP.

Stacking is also not good.

I'm not sure about the mat, but I've found stacking is fine.
BTW, cool looking mat!

Thanks for your response, then I'll use mat only when not playing. As said as a dustcover. About stacking, sorry - it’s the only option I’ll have…

Thanks Pim - I really like the design, the design of Devialet's glass insert is kind of extended this way. New to Devialet, I really appreciated the feedback I did receive about use of the mat. As said, the Expert's housing is a real fingerprint- and dust magnet. When not using I can keep the cover clean looking!

I'm pretty sure stacking is not good - it will overheat. Been there - done that.
Hi, mat looks badass great job! Good call removing it when playing. I had my units stacked for some time, but they indeed get quite hot when on top of each other. So I placed three orea bronze feet between the units. This gives them some more space for ventilation.

Thanks, maybe this is the option to go for! Cabinetspace is limited and this way I can stack without issues! Highly appreciated!
Manage heat dissipation carefully. It can slowly damage components over time.
