If Roon RAAT (not AIR) is working for you over gigabit to your Devialet, then you're the first I've seen confirm that. Are you streaming a hi-res (e.g. 192kHz, 24Bit) album to test it? I don't have anything at 192/24. I've got one album at 176.4/24 and it's currently streaming without any problems. I've also had no problems with DSD64 or 96/24. The Antipodes is running a Celeron processor and Antipodes under clock their processors. I'm in the process of ordering a Nucleus+ to replace it because I'm starting to run into problems. I updated it's operating system a few days before we got the Roon Ready update for our Devialets and the Antipodes started running slower after the update. I currently can't reliably access my play history in Roon. It still plays music fine but there are some operations in Roon including searching that I routinely do which are now slowing down and accessing history is often impossible, definitely impossible if music is playing and unreliable if music isn't playing. I may have a gigabit connection but that doesn't tell us whether the Antipodes is delivering data at the same speed as your Nucleus. I may be running on a gigabit highway but I'm currently driving a 60's VW beetle and you're driving a Ferrari by comparison. Perhaps the difference is somewhere in there. As I said, I'm in the process of ordering a Nucleus. It will be interesting to see what happens when I simply pull the Antipodes from my system and replace it with a Nucleus with no other changes on my network. The Nucleus may prove to be a not completely successful fix for my processing power problem. My Antipodes and my Devialet are both connected directly to the switch and the switch connects to my Orbi router. I have never seen the "Audio file is loading slowly" message, either with Roon streaming music from the drive in my Antipodes or with Roon streaming from Tidal. The indicator lights for each connection on the switch show I've got gigabit ethernet on all connections. I'm not noticing any problem with RAAT and gigabit ethernet. I've got 24/192 working fine with two switches. The Innuos processor is new, but not as fast as Nucleus. I haven't a clue at this point. Perhaps the Innuos OS is doing something different. Who knows... At least Roon has acknowledged there is an issue (3 weeks ago). Devialet has not (based on the ticket I submitted a month ago). At the end of the day the Innuos is a Roon Core server, very similar design to Nucleus, so I can't see that the two should perform differently. Innuos specification: CONNECTIVITY Ethernet 2 x rear panel RJ45 – Bridged Gigabit Ethernet USB 1x USB 2.0 (DAC), 1x USB 3.0 (Backup) The Roon manuals says: Isolating Performance Issues and Hardware Failures Isolating a problem is the process of finding the smallest configuration that reproduces the issue. This proceeds as a process of elimination. The reason why we isolate issues is to learn something about them. In the ideal situation, the process of isolation ends when you locate one element of your configuration that, when added or removed, causes the problem to appear and disappear. Some of the things that you do when isolating a problem are unrealistic. Sometimes the steps are time-consuming or arduous. But the process works. Some examples of how you might isolate a problem:
If done rigorously, with patience and discipline, this approach nearly always leads to a satisfying result. Hah! I must be missing one of the 3 because I haven't hit that satisfying result just yet. ;-) Still, it's all working for me, albeit at 100mbps. So my need for music is being well served. Devialet has not (based on the ticket I submitted a month ago). Well, I got a message from Devialet support about a month ago saying basically that they are aware of these issues. Let's see. I have a very simple gigabit Ethernet network and I'm experiencing these issues all the time with Roon RAAT (audio file loading slowly, small dropouts, etc), so I'm eagerly waiting for a fix. My network is simply just [Roon Nucleus+] <-> [Netgear Orbi router] <-> [Devialet]. All Ethernet cables are basic CAT6 UTP. I have tried adding a Netgear GS108 unmanaged gigabit switch between the Nucleus+ and the Devialet, but that didn't help at all. I have also tried different CAT6 ethernet cables but that didn't help either. Streaming to other Roon RAAT zones work perfectly fine on this network. Also streaming to the Devialet (using RAAT) works well if the Devialet is connected to the Wifi network. It starts to look like that the problem is somehow related to the gigabit Ethernet network with Devialet. The Core Infinity board has a gigabit Ethernet port, so I am expecting it to work perfectly fine in a gigabit network.
