It is impossible to hear anything positive about Astra (if there is anything positive at all) from an Expert owner. It is a well-deserved hate caused by Devialet, the company itself. And again, until you see the proper technical reports and documents, Astra is a product closer to the Phantoms than the Experts in terms of functionality and specifications. It is a high-end luxury product that does not care about sound delivery as a top priority.

Not really true - there is a guy (in other thread) who has upgraded to Astra and he is quite happy from what I see.

I completely respect that because if I buy a 2024 BMW 320i after trading in my 2017 M3, I would say the new car drives better, is safer, feels more tech-savvy and secure, etc. It's human psychology, nobody says bad things about something they paid double the price for.
And again, if Devialet thinks that Astra is a superior version of Expert, why don't they provide technical documents and unit measurements in parallel? Wouldn't it be a wonderful marketing strategy for them to demonstrate the double price and all the things they removed during the transformation? Ah, sorry, maybe this was all cost cuts and they focused only on making a luxury product, they didn't pay attention to the sound. Who knows, because there is no science or logic, it's all marketing and wishful thinking nowadays.
