Haven't listened to much Tori Amos (shame on me) but I really like that - thanks!

Well, tonight I will be listening to something extremely quiet.

I was invited to attend the FIA European dragster racing meeting at Santa Pod today and the noise was truly stunning - especially the Top Fuel dragsters which apparently have engines capable of generating 8,000 horse power.

Despite wearing ear protection I jumped every time they revved their engines and could feel the noise vibrating inside my head. They make Formula 1 cars sound like tiny pussycats purring in comparison to their Lion's roar Smile

Correction: The best cars exceed 9,000 bhp

Glad you liked it. I like pretty well everything she has ever done and have bought pretty well all of it too!
Worth trying Boys for Pele and Scarlet' Walk if you like this.

Currently enjoying the Winter EP, ripped from CD. iTunes + Air wireless.

Hi everybody! This is my first post. Had delivered this afternoon a Devaliet 200 and managed to connect my Sonos system, other sources will be added when I sort out various cables and interconnects. First impressions? Wow! Such clarity and accuracy even at low bit rate (192). Can't wait to hear some CDs and high bit rate tracks
. My first track was "Weather in my Head" by Donald Fagen ripped at 192 from the album Sunken Condos and the rest of the album followed. I couldn't stop listening, this amp has more control of my speaker's cones than the MF kW550 that it replaces amp which is a monster by comparison and 10 times more heavy, puts out as much heat as the lounge radiator and uses loads of juice! I stayed on the same plane with some Steely Dan "The Royal Scam" then some Little Feat, Hoy Hoy! "Gringo" which is a beautifully captured live track. By this time my dinner was cold! What's the phono input going to sound like? I nearly started cabling it up but I had to tear myself away...

Hello Axel. Pretty good, I think you'll find!

I'm listening to: Jon Hassell "City: Works of Fiction" (2014 3-CD, expanded version).

Thanks Frank, both those albums are on Qobuz as well. Will look forward to listening over the week-end.
