John Coltrane / Johnny Hartman - John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman. 96/24

Man, has this guy got a voice! Sung jazz, love ballads mostly. Though similar to Sinatra's, Hartman's voice is somewhat different and sounds just perfectly matched to Coltrane's sax. Wonderful!

One of my all time favorite. Thanks for reminding me I should listen to it more often.

Christy Moore - Burning Times

This wonderful Irish musician is a national hero in his homeland, but less widely known elsewhere.

If the SQ of 'The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll' does not bring a tear to your eye, then the lyrics (Dylan's) surely will.

Filips,

Great recommendation. I've always loved Dvorak- must touch my romantic side. One of my enduring 'comfort classical' albums are these Dvorak serenades, Op 22 & 44. CD rip. Had it for years. No idea about the quality but it really doesn't matter; the music comes through.

Badbadnotgood - IV. Via Tidal

How to describe this...? It's mainly jazz, but with a lot of soul, funk and rock added to good measure. Really, really good.

Enjoy!
