Contemporary solo cello music - multi-layered, dense, not always easy listening, but very enjoyable.

Just heard it yesterday, stunning moments on this album indeed!

Lenny Kravitz, Mama Said. CD RIP. One of the few really great rock albums of the 90s...

Bartók: Violin Concerto No. 2 (Kyung-Wha Chung, CBSO)

This is another of my favourite pieces of music; I first heard it at the Albert Hall about 35 years ago - Kyung-Wha Chung was the soloist there too. It was a completely spell-binding performance, with plenty of those special, spine-tingling moments. I still get them today even though it's something I listen to often.

You can try the Nonesuch version which is more hypnothic imho.

Bruno, thanks for the tip - I agree, that's a very good version.

Comsat Angels "My Mind's Eye"

A lovely bit of 1980's nostalgia. Stand-out tracks for me are "Field of Tall Flowers" and "And All the Stars".
