RE: What album are you listening tonight? - EricDH - 30-Apr-2015 Mahler - Symphony 2 - Concertgebouw Orchestra / Chailly RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Hifi_swlon - 02-May-2015 Sufjan Stevens 'Carrie & Lowell', a new favourite. A much easier listen than The Age of Adz, a previous favourite. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - PhilP - 02-May-2015 CD Rips. Interestingly I find it easier to make out the lyrics on both of these using 7.1.3 firmware Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones Dr John - Gris-Gris What album are you listening tonight? - LBameule - 03-May-2015 Chopin: Polonaises. Maurizio Pollini. 96/24. I'm not knowledgable at all about classical music, but this is certainly wonderful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk MBPro 2008 > Dev 120 > KEF LS50. Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - AaronG - 03-May-2015 It is! I just bought that too. I've seen him play Chopin many times live and although the 96/24 doesn't get a concert hall it does him more justice than recordings usually do. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Damon - 03-May-2015 One of our favourites; Pink Martini, from Portland Oregon. AIFF rip from CD, iMac to AEP optical to D120. Just an amazing band and an album worth years of listening. 'Hang On, Little Tomato' is a delight musically and I think the recording is pretty good as well. And I don't mind saying that the Dev brings it all out in a way that my Naim never did: I remain impressed. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Eddye - 03-May-2015 Tori Amos - Under the Pink Tidal -> Aurender What album are you listening tonight? - amabrok - 03-May-2015 Benjamin Clementine: At Least For Now >> Qobuz Download Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: What album are you listening tonight? - amabrok - 03-May-2015 Omar Sosa: Ile >> Qobuz Streaming smooth afro/latin jazz Track 3: 4U is awesome! RE: What album are you listening tonight? - PhilP - 03-May-2015 (03-May-2015, 20:22)amabrok Wrote: Great choice! I tried several of Sosa's albums (Qobuz) after an earlier recommendation on here and have been impressed by the range of styles covered. He occasionally seems a bit pretentious but there's some great music as well |
