Mahler - Symphony 2 - Concertgebouw Orchestra / Chailly

Sufjan Stevens 'Carrie & Lowell', a new favourite. A much easier listen than The Age of Adz, a previous favourite.

CD Rips. Interestingly I find it easier to make out the lyrics on both of these using 7.1.3 firmware

Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones

Chopin: Polonaises. Maurizio Pollini. 96/24.

I'm not knowledgable at all about classical music, but this is certainly wonderful.

It is! I just bought that too. I've seen him play Chopin many times live and although the 96/24 doesn't get a concert hall it does him more justice than recordings usually do.

One of our favourites; Pink Martini, from Portland Oregon. AIFF rip from CD, iMac to AEP  optical to D120. Just an amazing band and an album worth years of listening. 'Hang On, Little Tomato' is a delight musically and I think the recording is pretty good as well. And I don't mind saying that the Dev brings it all out in a way that my Naim never did: I remain impressed.

Great choice! I tried several of Sosa's albums (Qobuz) after an earlier recommendation on here and have been impressed by the range of styles covered. He occasionally seems a bit pretentious but there's some great music as well Smile
