RE: What album are you listening tonight? - thumb5 - 25-May-2015 Porcupine Tree "Deadwing", via Qobuz. Becoming a favourite... She is melodic and also goes off into less expected instrumental combinations and structural directions. So easy to sit and get absorbed into. Thanks for posting this one. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Rufus McDufus - 25-May-2015 I've lost track with Bill Nelson albums but got a copy of this a few years ago and I'm re-discovering it. Very lush and textural with interesting chords/scales. Some amazing guitar work as to be expected. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - CptHaddock - 28-May-2015 Steely Dan - "Can't buy a thrill", it does have bottom end! Talk Talk - "The colour of spring", the emotion in Mark Hollis' voice ... Moderat - "A new error", no subwoofers needed to do this justice any more RE: What album are you listening tonight? - Damon - 28-May-2015 CptHaddock Just joined? Welcome! Steely Dan; music to live by! Amazing songwriting and staggering musicianship. Sound quality is nice as well. Talk Talk: brilliant stuff. 'The Party's Over' is one of my personal favourites. Captivating fretless bass and finely crafted songs. I don't know Moderat, but based on your first two references, I'll look them up. RE: What album are you listening tonight? - thumb5 - 28-May-2015 You beat me to it, Damon!
