Phantom specs - gabrielefx - 12-Aug-2015

I'm really undecided wether to buy two Silver Phantoms or one Devialet Expert 200 plus speakers.

I don't understand if the Phantoms supports through the wi-fi the following features we have in the 200 model:

INPUTS / OUTPUTS:
  • 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi input for the Devialet AIR universal streamer
    • Formats supported: 16-bit/44.1 kHz PCM to 24-bit/192 kHz PCM
  • RJ45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet input for the Devialet AIR universal streamer
    • Formats supported: 16-bit/44.1 kHz PCM to 24-bit/192 kHz PCM
  • USB Audio 2.0 asynchronous input/output
    • Formats supported:
      • 16-bit/44.1 kHz PCM to 32-bit/192 kHz PCM
      • DSD64 1bit/2.822400MHz and 1bit/3.072000MHz
Do the Phantoms support High Res audio?
Can I play DSD 1 bit audio?
It is not clear if through the air (or cables) the Phantom supports 24/192 audio
Does the tos link plug supports 24/192?
Why on the Devialet web site the 24/192 is referred only to the DAC?

regards

(12-Aug-2015, 15:20)I was hoping that I could just take connect the USB of my laptop to the Phantom somehow such as through the dialog and get all my audio to the Phantoms.  Apparently one can\t do that unfortunately. I am assuming that one can do that with the regular Devialet lines such as the 200.  ULgabrielefx Wrote: I'm really undecided wether to buy two Silver Phantoms or one Devialet Expert 200 plus speakers.

I've contacted Phantom regarding available inputs, and the usb port was not mentioned as being an audio input. That said, it wasn't specifically ruled out either.

It is not clear what the USB connector will be for, but it has not yet been implemented in firmware so it, in effect, does not exist yet.

I read here that my nas Synology can stream DSD files
https://www.synology.com/en-us/knowledgebase/faq/645

but they need to be transcoded.

Now the question is:

Do the Phantom transcodes DSD files?

Sorry, I don't think they do.
