Any Devialet users use Amarra ?
Having some problem streaming High Rez when using IRC

I tried it today. Lots of issues. Not sure it is worth it.

I used it all the time on my D-Premier before the wifi module was available.
I used my Metric Halo MIO2 as a firewire to AES/EBU adapter. It worked very well.
When the wifi module and Air were released I concentrated on using that.
Amarra always recommended running their supplied clean up software whenever there was an update since Amarra adds some library files which may change from version to version. I had all sorts of problems trying to run Air and Amarra on the same computer, which effected Air most. I ran the Amarra clean up software and stopped having many problems with Air. I haven't used Amarra with my Devialet since.
Nowadays I have no problems with Air at all, it just works!

I made some test :
Using Itunes only :
Play 24/192 - when Air configure buffer 100ms , Bitperfect on
still having problem with play HiRez.
Play 24/192 - when Air configure buffer to 5000ms , Bitperfect on
Work fine .
Play 24/192 - when Air configure buffer to 5000ms , Bitperfect off
Work fine
Using Amarra + IRC:
lay 24/192 - when Air configure buffer 100ms , Bitperfect on
unable play HiRez.
Play 24/192 - when Air configure buffer to 5000ms , Bitperfect on
Work fine .
Play 24/192 - when Air configure buffer to 5000ms , Bitperfect off
unable play HiRez
So it looks that increasing the buffer to maximum solve my problems paying HiRez.

Another checks that I made , HiRez files intend to overload IRC filter
In that case IRC has the ability to reduce the Gain, that will reduce also
the overload IRC filter and add noise .

For my opinion and my experience for the last 5 years with almost any computer based player on most OS platform I found that Amarra the best computer based player in market .
And with IRC it makes it for me Ultimate
Suitable detection: When I began to examine computer based players 5 years ago and I exposed to Amarra for the first time I was unable to use any other players .
SO eventually I became Amarra Distributor .
