RE: Next Software Updates for Expert Amplifiers - midi - 19-Feb-2016 It's a bizarre post to be fair midi, but I kind of like it! Sort of like the 'gods' have spoken to you. [/quote] Sorry, you´re right, but believe me, I am very pessimistic about Devialets software skills (this was the reason for buying an Auralic Mini). My hope was, that Devialet uses the help of other people who can do it better...It seems to be, that this is the case know - I hope the information is true. That gives me a little hope... This is all I can say at the moment. Sort of like the 'gods' have spoken to you. Maybe the partnership with Apple is paying off and they have Steve Jobs helping from the beyond. "Oh, and one more thing, AIR works now." RE: Next Software Updates for Expert Amplifiers - Confused - 20-Feb-2016 Well I did hear a "rumour" that Devialet are working on "multiple solutions" for Dialog compatibility with the Expert range. So it is not too much of a stretch to extrapolate this to Devialet maybe taking a look at different approaches to the issues with AIR. RE: Next Software Updates for Expert Amplifiers - Cylob - 20-Feb-2016 So we might have to buy a Dialog and take the gamble? Hmmmm.... Not the solution I was hoping for. RE: Next Software Updates for Expert Amplifiers - midi - 20-Feb-2016 The message I got, contains no hint, that they are working on Dialog solution. Since connecting an ethernet cable into my router from 250 (they are close by) I have never experienced problems using AIR, streaming Hi-Res content. I use a Windows laptop running JRiver, which connects on my network to my Synology NAS. BTW, 9.0.1 in my system is by far the best iteration of the firmware. It's mighty good! AIR wireless was always flaky and be never truly stable. Roon integration would be the way to go, but unlikely in forseeable future given their chosen path of developing Spark etc.. RE: Next Software Updates for Expert Amplifiers - thumb5 - 21-Feb-2016 No offence to anyone who's contributed thus far, but from my point of view this sequence of "AIR works for me" and "AIR doesn't work for me" is not adding much to the thread. Can we just agree that AIR works for some and not for others, and that when it doesn't, it's not for want of trying or technical expertise? The corollary to which is that it is not fulfilling its advertised purpose of being a reliable, high-quality streaming protocol for a home audio system.
