RE: Goodbye to Devialet - after upgrade program - noblewolf - 11-Oct-2016 Well, if the 200 isn't enough.. I just picked up a used 250 few days ago, i am just feeling the guy, it used to be a d-premier, then upgraded to 240, then to 250.. then now the 250 pro came out and he was hysterical.. no ending.. lol So there, must pass the burden... Maybe in your country it's okay to tell people to GFY but here in the USA we dont openly talk like this on forums. Because your pissed that Devialet isn't giving you a free upgrade doesn't diminish the brand or take away the great work they are doing. Probably best to keep this thread on track without the Vulgar responses. RE: Goodbye to Devialet - after upgrade program - Antoine - 16-Oct-2016 Where did I say I expect a free upgrade? It's you who should keep in mind there's customers from different cultures visiting this forum and the USA culture is not the world culture. edit: because, trust me, there's many cultures who dislike someone bragging about buying Porsches or "plunking down 18k" for whatever (especially in discussions like these) even if they themselves own or could buy one. You're disservicing the Devialet brand here with your factually incorrect information, your snobistic Porsche stories and by ignoring/dismissing the sentiment which currently lives among many current Devialet owners. It's time this forum institutes some rules to block dealers outside the area where they can announce their own events or news. The upgrade program allowing 120's to be upgraded to a 220 pro for the same price as a 200 has killed the 200 value dead. They're mostly being sold for practically the same as a 120. I'd probably word my comments differently, but I agree with Antoine's sentiment - it's a bit odd when dealers cut in with their love of Devialet, probably more so after only a handful of posts here. It's pretty hard not to see through it, and I also think it totally misses the emotional state of a lot of Devialet owners right now. They didn't all wake up having decided Devialet had upset them overnight in their sleep - it's Devialets attitude and actions over the last year or more that caused it. BTW, would you have felt the same about your expensive 2016 Porsche if it cutout every couple of miles at random throughout your ownership, while Porsche dodged any questions about it and told you you weren't driving it properly? Or if they sold you a model telling you it was the flagship - the limited edition pinnacle of their R&D efforts - and then shortly after you paid for it announced a better model? Just sayin'. This is a totally new machine with changes to many things and allows for better sound and more things in the future like new streaming cards etc. Your 200 was 9500 and the new machine lists for 11000. About a 16 percent price increase. My Porsche list price hardly changed and it still cost me 25% of the retail to get the new model.Craig Congrats on your NEW Porsche for 25% cost. I would love to get a new or upgraded D400 for 25% of the list when I purchased it last September. For me to upgrade based on the 5995.00 euro, $7200.00 us, that equals 40% of the list price at the time of purchase to have your own unit rebuilt, not exchanged for a new one. Unless you know something that I do not, my year old D400 is worth around 10K usd on the used market, base on the current value of my D400 today the upgrade is 70% of the value, I do not think that is good value, so i'm going to have to think about it.
